Best Supportive Care is a term used when a cure is not achievable with existing treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The goal is to relieve where possible any disease-related symptoms as early as possible, this could include transfusion of blood products or treating infections with antibiotics, and provide the best quality of life.
