The CDC (Child Development Centre) is a specialist pre-school service responsible for the assessment of neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We also support the assessment of children with other complex developmental needs in West Northants.
The service includes Community Paediatricians, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and Neurodevelopmental Practitioners from University Hospitals of Northamptonshire and Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHFT).
This specialist service assesses pre-school children who may have a delay in their development or additional needs. Some difficulties are identified at birth, others become apparent or develop as a child grows. This may include additional needs in a number of areas, such as vision, hearing, speech, physical, and emotional development, and/or learning difficulties.
