Conditions we see as part of our service

  • Children and young people with Cerebral Palsy or other neurological conditions.
  • Orthopaedic conditions eg: Perthes, Talipes, Erbs Palsy.
  • Following orthopaedic surgery eg: tendon lengthening, hip surgery.
  • Congenital conditions.
  • Gross motor delay, failure to meet milestones.
  • Respiratory – chronic productive cough.
  • Children under the age of 8 with a musculoskeletal problem.
  • Children with coordination difficulties following completion of a school’s pack and indication for referral. A school’s pack can be obtained by contacting the service.

 

Not offered by this service

  • Musculoskeletal problems for children over the age of 8 years old – A referral should be made to Adult Outpatient Physiotherapy.
  • Flexible flat feet – A referral should be made to Blatchford Northamptonshire Orthotic &Wheelchair Services NHS Clinic.
  • Balance and coordination problems until a school’s pack is completed and a referral indicated. The schools pack can be sent out by contacting the service.
