(Open Monday - Friday from 09:00 - 16:00, excluding bank holidays)
The PALS / Bereavement Service provide sympathetic information, advice and support to bereaved relatives and carers by helping them through the practical arrangements that follow the death of an adult patient at the hospital.

The PALS / Bereavement Service is located in The Evelyn Centre (Area R) at Northampton General Hospital and can be contacted on the numbers shown below. An answer phone facility is available out of hours / during busy periods and we will respond to any messages as soon as we can.

If you wish, you may visit someone whilst they are still in our care by contacting our mortuary staff on 01604 545014 (Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30 - 16:30 and 08:00 - 12:00 on Saturday)
Children's & Young People’s Bereavement Services
The Children and Young Person's Bereavement Service offers one-to-one counselling and age appropriate bereavement groups. The service has a number of counsellors and volunteers and takes referrals from parents, schools, health professionals and if the child is over 16 from the child themselves.
The service also provides training for anyone requesting help in dealing with bereaved children.
