Services

Surgical appliances see outpatients that require shoe raises, knee braces, back braces, stock and made to measure footwear, and many more orthotic devices.

Patients can have footwear repaired.

Surgical appliances visits inpatients to provide them with various orthotics requested by a consultant.

What should I bring to my appointment?

If the patient is visiting the department for a review of footwear or are having difficulties with their orthotics we suggest that they must always bring them in with them at the appointment.

How much time should I allow before my appointment?

We always suggest that the patients do allow plenty of time for their appointment.

Where should I park?

In the Northampton Orthotic Car Park, Midsummer House, 5 Riverside Way, Bedford Road, Northampton.

About the team

The department consists of 2 staff, of which one is a surgical appliances administrator and the other a surgical appliances manager. On days where we have a clinic the orthotist is also present.
