New non-executive directors join NGH
Two new non-executive directors have been appointed to the trust board at NGH.
Jill Houghton was appointed as a non-executive director in May 2018 and David Moore was appointed in August 2018.
Jill is currently a registered nurse and has worked as a midwife and health visitor, with experience in all sectors of healthcare, clinically and managerially within primary and secondary care. As a board member she has been responsible for patient services, quality, medicines optimisation and children, young people and maternity commissioning. Jill was most recently Chief Nurse for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG and is now a Maternity Clinical Lead within the national Maternal and Neonatal Health Safety Collaborative.
David spent 28 years working internationally for Citibank, returning to the UK in 2008 as Managing Director for Citi Private Bank Operations Division in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and Asia before retiring at the end of 2011. He has significant experience in governance, finance, operations, strategic planning, quality and change management.
David was a Public Member of Network Rail between 2008 and 2011 and served as a non-executive director of Milton Keynes NHS Foundation Trust for six years, holding the position of Senior Independent Director for four years in addition to chairing the finance and investment committee. He has been a member of the Council of the University of Leicester since 2009 has been University Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee since August 2013.
