The department is situated in Integrated Surgery in Area B, opposite Car Park 1.
The nearest main entrance is the South Entrance. If you enter here and turn right onto Hospital Street, Integrated Surgery is on the right hand side.

About the unit
The endoscopy unit is a busy department with a highly qualified team.
The department undertakes approximately 10,000 cases a year for both inpatients and outpatients. We have three procedures rooms, an 11 bedded recovery area, a secondary recovery area, decontamination room and bowel preparation room.
Your appointment
On the day of your appointment, please allow sufficient time for parking before your admission.
Please note that due to the drugs used, if sedation is given, you must be collected from the department, and a companion must stay with you for the rest of the day. We will not be able to perform the procedure if this cannot be done.
Services
The endoscopy unit offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for inpatients and outpatients. It is also a bowel cancer screening centre.
