Simulated learning scenarios provide invaluable opportunities to observe, develop and test how healthcare professionals work together and interact with their environment and equipment.

Each room is equipped ergonomically to mimic a realistic environment.
Simulation room 1
This room is used as a consulting room, maternity room, paediatric/neonatal bay or dental suite. Capacity: 8 people

Control room 1
Faculty viewing room incorporating:
- technician control of manikins
- live link to debrief room 1
- telephone link from simulation room.
Debrief room 1
- Audio visual viewing of simulation room 1 and observation monitor on TV screens.
- Video playback with ability to identify aspects of performance or practice.
- White boards for participants viewing to complete learning points for discussion within the debrief, allowing for non-judgemental peer review feedback.
Simulation room 2
The larger of our simulation rooms, this is used for training relating to ITU, wards, emergency department, paediatrics, theatres and pre-hospital. Capacity: 15 people

In situ - point of care (PoC) simulation QI team
Point-of-care simulation (POC sim) brings the training room to your area of work, allowing you and your colleagues:
- to simulate emergency events in a realistic manner
- to put into practice the skills more often taught in the classroom on the ‘shop floor’
- with the colleagues you’ll be working with when the real events occur
The simulations take no more than 10 minutes. We’ll give you an immediate hot debrief and reinforce your learning with a written report.
