Danetre Hospital operations transfer to Northampton as temporary measure

Patients due to have operations at Danetre Hospital in Daventry will instead have their treatment at Northampton General Hospital as a temporary measure.

A combination of sickness absence and staff vacancies means that we cannot currently achieve optimum staffing levels to perform the full range of operations usually carried out. We are contacting patients with scheduled appointments for operations to arrange for their treatment to be carried out in Northampton.

Outpatients appointments are unaffected and will continue as normal. 

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this causes our patients but the transfer of operations is to ensure patients are treated safely.
