NGH 'Mind Your Head' event will raise awareness on World Mental Health Day
At Northampton General Hospital we’re celebrating World Mental Health Day on Tuesday 10 October, to help promote discussion about mental health and combat stigma.
Staff will be able to drop in to an event called ‘Mind Your Head’ in the hospital’s boardroom, where they can find information to support mental wellbeing, financial wellbeing, food and mood, and sport and activity. There will also be support for victims of domestic abuse, a counselling service, relaxing hand massages and much more!
NGH health and wellbeing coordinator Anne-Marie Dunkley said: “One in four people will suffer from a mental health problem at some point in their life, and problems can affect anyone, any day of the year. But World Mental Health Day is a great day to show our support for better mental health, and we aim to encourage people to start looking after their own mental wellbeing as well as to think about that of others.”
The ‘Mind Your Head’ mental health awareness event takes place at Northampton General Hospital’s boardroom (Area R) between 11am-2pm on Tuesday 10 October 2017.
