How to find us
Our acute stroke wards are situated on Eleanor Hyperacute Stroke Unit (Area C) and Allebone Stroke Unit (Area C). Our clinic is held in the Centre for Elderly Medicine (Area R). Parking is available in Car Park 1, plus some limited spaces outside main reception/A&E including disabled car parking.

About Us
The stroke service provides rapid assessment and treatment for all stroke patients that come to hospital. Contactable by bleep from A&E & EAU staff. Thrombolysis (clot busting) is available through this service. It ensures that the patients go to the specialist wards (Eleanor & Allebone for their treatment and care. Specialist stroke community rehabiliation beds are availble at Danetre and Isebrook Hospitals, plus a Community Stroke Team, who provide support and therapy for appropriate patients in their own home as part of the discharge plan.
Stroke Specialist nurses are available 24/7 for patient assesment, advice and support.
Rapid Access TIA clinics are held seven days a week (weekend clinics are for high risk patient) and are accessed by referral from your GP or by A&E referral. At weekends high risk patients from the whole of Northamptonshire access this service, during the week its for Northampton area patients only, as Kettering General provide their own weekday service.
