Celebrating biomedical science day at NGH

Yesterday our biomedical scientists celebrated World Biomedical Science day 2019, the worlds biggest biomedical science celebration!

Now in it's third year the event, organised by the Insititute of Biomedical Science, aims to inform the public and empower patients by telling them about practices in biomedical science and celebrates those at the heart of healthcare.

To celebrate the day we went behind the scenes for our latest Insight magazine to share with you what happens to samples collected. We were lucky enough to spend some time with the histopathology and microbiology teams and go behind the scenes to see first hand what the teams do and where your samples go.
