University Hospitals of Northamptonshire team members in national digital awards
Ramandeep, Natasha and Tosin are all finalists in the Digital Health Networks awards
Three members of staff at the UHN – which run KGH and NGH – are in the finals for Digital Health Networks national awards.
The awards aim to shine a light on the best and brightest digital leaders shaping the future of healthcare within the NHS celebrating innovation, dedication, and excellence, and recognising and celebrating the remarkable achievements and contributions of individuals and teams who are driving transformation through digital technologies.
Ramandeep Kaur, Group Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO), is a finalist for the CCIO of the Year award category. Her nomination was acknowledging her role as an inspirational leader and becoming the first pharmacist as a CCIO for two hospitals. Her nominees commented on her commitment to supporting emerging talent within digital and mentoring individuals, whilst also breaking barriers herself with a role traditionally undertaken by doctors. Her passion and drive within Digital was commended at a local, regional and national level.
Natasha Chare, Group Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) was nominated for CIO of the year for work and is amongst the top three finalists in the country for this award. During her current tenure, she has led UHN Digital team through a restructure and is believed to be amongst the youngest female CDIOs in the country. Natasha is currently a Board member and her leadership and tenacity has supported the team to help leverage best technologies to enhance care for our Northamptonshire patients.
And Tosin Akinlabi, Clinical Safety Officer, has been nominated for Rising Star of the Year. Tosin joined UHN in February 2024 and recently graduated from the Shuri Fellowship Digital programme. She is a nurse by background and has written and published a book entitled Introduction to Digital Nursing. Tosin is one to watch as her career continues to flourish in the digital space.
A special mention to our Digital Maternity team, Gayle Dellow and Laura Bissell, who were nominated for Outstanding Team of the Year in the Digital Health awards too. The winners will be announced at Digital Health Summer Schools on 18th July.
