Summer 2019 Insight Magazine- Now available!

Our latest Insight magazine is now available online and in print

In this edition we go under the microscope and meet our Histopathology and Microbiology teams. We find out what happens to your samples when they are sent for testing at NGH and how the teams use microscopic techniques to help to identify diseases.

We also meet our sterile services team, aseptic pharmacy team and sickle cell team who all share more about their role and give us a behind the scenes glimpse into their work.

And we catch up with 18 year old Ellie Waters, who asked people to donate gifts to our children’s wards to help her celebrate her own birthday. Read her lovely story on page 7 and how she's turned a negative time in her life into a positive for others.

Also in this issue we celebrate another busy year for NGH and take the opportunity to share with you some of our achievements and operational and financial performance.  We’ve seen and treated more patients, become the first hospital in the UK to achieve Pathway to Excellence Accreditation and opened our new Nye Bevan Building.   These are just some of our achievements, none of which would have been possible without the dedication and commitment of everyone who works at TeamNGH.
