Health and Wellbeing Shortlisted for National Award
Anne-Marie is the Health and Wellbeing Manage at Northampton General Hospital
Staff wellbeing has been recognised at NGH as being one of the best offerings by NHS England and NHS Improvement and the Burdett Trust.
The hospital have been shortlisted for the Best Health and Wellbeing, Rewards and Benefits award thanks to the work to provide support and training for over 500 staff around mental health. This work compliments the hospital’s comprehensive range of staff wellbeing initiatives including; an in-house slimming group, managing mental health workshops, trained mental health first aiders and champions, mindfulness, sleep, stress, resilience and menopause workshops, staff health checks, stop smoking support, hospital choir, lunchtime ballroom and Latin dance classes, yoga classes, walking group, running group and discounted on-site gym membership.
Health and Wellbeing Manager, Anne-Marie Dunkley explained her pride at being shortlisted “It’s fantastic to have the recognition for the work we do to take care of our staff. We have over 5000 staff and many who work in a high pressure environment so it’s important to give staff the opportunities to relax, take time to recharge and also learn about their own and their colleague’s physical and mental health needs”
The winner will be announced on 19 November.
